the information revolution and education

Home schooling is the model for the future, all the ingredients are in place, in a few years the type of school we grew up in, may be limited to exist in the realm of special education, lab hours and finals.

The education revolution is coming, whereas this baby boomer generation who became the highest educated generation in the history of humanity, has given back to humanity an information revolution of which the students of the generations to come will learn of on their online classes and e-books of history :)

The absence of distractions in front of a terminal, make concentration and focus easier for the students, while the predominance of visual signals over voice should increase retention of subjects.

The absence of clutter in the virtual world makes possible for a number of educators to control the shared desktops of large numbers of students per class, in favor of standardization, whereas in the future is not to be excluded the participation of a number of instructors as a crew, with specialized duties, in even larger education "session" or "events", even on worldwide "live" scale, in a completelly interactive manner.

The bottom line of the concept, is more spending bucks in education, and less in real estate and maintenance, with equal quality of education from the ghetto to the Los Altos Hills neighborhoods, from the favelas in Brazil to the left side of Zurich lake, a profound goal for humanity, 100% doctorate level by 2050.

The virtual access opens a school system to the world education market, more access is equal to more customers, a more liberal and libertarian education is going to have indirect effects on the world society of the future, whereas this young students one day will apply what they learned in managing their own countries, when the time comes, to the benefit of all.
